Former Uconn and New England Mutiny standout joins Academica Futebol Club.
Karyn Riviere has joined AFC to coach the U11G team. Prior to coming to AFC Karyn was coaching in the Guilford Soccer Club as the head coach of the U10G team. She had previously coached the U11G and assisted with the U14G.
Karyn played her high school soccer at Guilford where she was a 3 time All State player. She is the Guilford High School girls all time leading scorer with a career total of 72 goals and 49 assists. Collegiately Karyn played at UCONN where she captained the team in 2007. In that same year, Karyn was voted to the All Big-East & All New England teams.
In 2007 & 2008 Karyn played for the New England Mutiny of the WPSL. She was named to the WPSL 2007 All-tournament team. The team reached the national final in 2007 and the Semi Final in 2008.
