Welcome to AFC!
Academica Futebol Club (AFC) was founded in the spring 2003 with the idea to introduce the youth soccer players to a higher level of soccer. Since it brief existence, AFC has expanded our club with Youth Developmental Academies, Premier Developmental teams, Premier Teams, U23 Program and an affiliation with the New England Mutiny that compete in the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL).
Our AFC youth programs are based in Cheshire & Enfield, Connecticut, with all AFC team names being identified by either AFC Pride / Courage / Mutiny.
Our ultimate club goal is be an Elite Futebol Club; become one of, if not, the best soccer club in Connecticut. Through our club’s commitment to individual player development with the confines of well-organized team play, AFC feels it’s an achievable goal.
The club is owned and managed by Collegiate Soccer System, LLC. Collegiate Soccer System was founded in 1993. The company at the time offered a variety of summer programs and now has grown into an all-year round soccer industry. Our organization consists of two business identities: Futebol Club and Soccer School.
